LGBTQI+ Attendee Support
- The American Physical Society's Division of Nuclear Physics, the Local Organizaing Committee, and the city of New Orleans are committed to welcoming all attendees to this great city and DNP2022, our first in-person DNP meeting in 3 years.
- For over 300 years New Orleans has been a destination where people of different ethnicities, nationalities, and sexual orientation mix and mingle in the rich culture and nitghtlife that the Big Easy has to offer.
- Only about one-third of New Orelans residents identify as white/caucasian. A recent New York Times survey found New Orleans to be among the top 10 cities in LGBTQ population, and in 2017 New Orleans was named a "Most Welcoming City".
- We have compiled some links that provide useful information for everyone, but especially for our LGBTQI+ colleagues that will join us in NOLA.
