Hi, this is Chuanyong Wu and I am a dual-degree student, one is Physics Ph. D and the other Computer Science Master.
As a Ph. D. candidate in Physics,
I have been working photoionization studies
of molecules using the facilities at CAMD
(Center for Advanced Microstructure and Devices). Bacically, we shine
the soft x-rays on some molecules, such as nitrogen, and then study the
fluorescence of the molecules. From this, we can get some insight of chemical
bonds of those molecules. Our research has been providing valuable information
to semiconductor manufacturers as well as chemical companies.
In the Computer
Science Master program,
Data communication is the area I have
been devoting most of my time and effort to. The software/hardware set
, which I developed two years ago, is still in mission at CAMD. Networking
is the field I am choosing my project topic from.
My interests used to be a little too broad than I could handle. Now, after giving up some, my primary interests are reading and taking photos. You can take a look of my recent photographes if you like.
