| Our Undergraduate Program is for students wishing to major
in Physics and Astronomy, Medical and Health Physics, or who would like
to minor in Physics. The usual course of study includes Calculus, General
Physics including laboratory experiments in the first year. In the second
year, courses in differential equations, modern physics, mechanics are
suggested. In your junior and senior years, you can choose an area in which
to concentrate - Physics, Minor in Physics, Astronomy, Medical/Health Physics,
Secondary Education or Second Discipline. |

** PHYS 4004 would substitute for PHYS 4125 in the standard Physics Major curriculum. Two 4000-level physics courses would replace PHYS 4098 and PHYS 4132 in the standard Physics Major curriculum.

Approved electives are 5-7 hours for the major with this concentration.
*** Student intending to obtain dual certification in Chemistry can substitute CHEM 1201, 1202 or ASTR 1101, 1102. |
