Theoretical Gravity - Strongly Gravitating Astrophysical systems

The theoretical gravity research group at LSU seeks to fill one or more openings as early as July 2009.

Responsibilities: Participates in the study of strongly gravitating astrophysical systems which are likely sources of detectable gravitational waves by both earth and spaced-based detectors as well as possible emissions in the electromagnetic wave band. Required Qualifications: Research Associate 5: Master/s or equivalent degree in physics or a related field and two years related experience OR a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in physics or a related field: Postdoctoral Researcher: Ph.D. or equivalent degree in physics or a related field; Senior Postdoc: additional 3 years postdoctoral experience. Special Requirements: One position will be stationed at the University of Maryland.
