SPS field trips encourage members to explore science outside of campus. Previous trips include:
- San Diego, CA
- The SPS coordinated a Spring Break visit to San Diego. In addition to exploring UCSD's campus, the group toured the city and it's beaches.
- Chicago, IL
- SPS' visit to Chicago included visits to the Fermi National Accelerator Lab, Argonne National Lab, the Adler Planetarium, and the plethora of local museums.
- Orlando, FL
- In Orlando, stops included Kennedy Space Center, the Natural Sciences museum, and Disney World!
