Past:
Dr. Leonid Isaev joined
the group in 2011, after completing his Ph.D. at Indiana University.
Leonid is interested in many aspects of correlated electron
systems, especially frustrated magnetic systems , Kondo lattices, and
superconductors. Leonid recently was awarded the 2013 ICAM postodctoral fellowship which will enable him to perform collaborative research with me and Dr. Cristian Batista at Los Alamos National laboratory.
Dr. Kazushi Aoyama
visited my group for a year in 2012 from Kyoto University, and has
worked with us on mesoscopic superconductivity and superconductivity
in ferromagnetic systems, as well as on underscreened Kondo lattice
problem.
Mr. Haoyu Qi joined my group in Fall 2012, and is working on non-centrosymmetric and topological superconductors
Dr. Anton Vorontsov was
a postdoctoral researcher in my group in 2004-2007. He is currently an
Assistant Professor at Montana State University and
remains an active collaborator with our group.
Dr. Robert Beaird defended his Ph.D. thesis in 2011 on the studies of
inhomogeneous superconducting states, and interplay of
superconductivity and magnetism. Bobby decided to pursue a teaching career and is currently an Instructor of Physics at LSU.
Mr. Joshua Thibodaux
completed his M.Sc. thesis working on the interpretation of Magnetic
Force Microscopy images of vortices in type-II superconductors.
