H1 PDnMon triggers

Using a pointer from John Zweizig to the triggers from the new PDnMon, I looked at Qscans and Event Displays of the H1 ones to find a pattern.

My preliminary conclusion, looking at the top ~15-30 triggers when ranked by chi^2, is that the triggers from the ASnI signals seem to be very well correlated with seismic events, identified in inspiral and BlockNormal glitches. They can provide a prompt, efficient and low deadtime (~0.1%) veto for seismic events, and that would be welcome news! They also catch other artifacts, like "ringdowns" and H2 not locked.
The triggers from ASnQ signals do not seem to have an obvious pattern, but they do catch some seismic and "ringdown" transients (most common to AsnI triggers). Although their deadtime is significantly larger, it is still relatively small (~0.4%).

I have taken the triggers after April 20 2007, where the configuration for the monitor seemed to change (?). There are 408 triggers, 318 (78%) in ASnQ, and 90 in ASnI. Some are not in science mode or the duration includes times not in science mode; selecting only triggers that are entirely in science mode we have 281 triggers, 225(80%) in ASnQ and 56 in ASnI. There are 27 ASnI and AsnQ triggers that have a common start GPS.

Between the times of the earliest trigger (861114720, Apr 20) and the latest trigger (866739840, Jun 24), the sum of the ASnQ trigger durations is 21660sec, or 6.0 hrs; the sum of the AsnI trigger durations is 4560sec, or 76min. In the same time interval, there are 4884591 sec in science mode, or 1357 hrs, or 56 days (87% duty factor!). Using ASnQ triggers as vetoes would represent a 0.44% deadtime; the ASnI triggers used as vetoes represent 0.09% deadtime.
